Humber Heights-Westmount is part of Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario. This neighbourhood is located all around the picturesque Humber River Valley. From the mature trees, to the enchanting creeks, this is a getaway from many of the city's neighbourhoods. La Rose Avenue is the main street of this neighbourhood, with many Eastern Europeans in the area. The housing type varies, however, for a great walking tour, the mansions of Yorkleigh Avenue and Westmount Park are a great place to start. La Rose plaza has many stores such as La Rose Bakery, La Rose Dollar Store, and Mel Rose Variety. La Rose Bakey is renown among residents to serve excellent European food. Most of the children of Humber Heights-Westmount go to either Westmount Public School or All Saints Catholic School, Ontario.

The Humber River forms this district’s eastern border with Royal York Road on its western boundary. St. Phillips Road and Eglinton West bracket the district to the north and south.

This inoffensive pocket of western Toronto boasts a pack of characteristics that all add up to “middle of the road.” The houses are a mix of wartime bungalows and newer “starter” monster homes with showcase pyramid-shaped shrubs along the side yard. Westmount Park Road itself is home to mansions as huge as 6,000 square feet. But most of the abodes are simple yellow-brick jobs, or backsplits with house numbers burned into quaint birch plaques and willow trees whose branches reach all the way down to the lawn.

Tall condominium developments line the north side of Eglinton. A former farming community, the place was first subdivided during the First World War in order to provide housing for the workers at the nearby munitions factories in Weston. Today, the neighbourhood screams “retired,” and that’s even before you notice the Watch for Seniors sign along the side of the road. The porch furniture, tidy garages and attention to landscaping are the best clues.

A rural feel remains throughout thanks to the wide streets, curbless and sometimes non-existent sidewalks and split-rail fences that border the properties, with those along the eastern edge of the district backing onto the Humber River.
